Dancing Kilt Celebrates the new release of “Traveller SMASH Ale with Honey”
Stein Club: Bring in your DKB Stein and celebrate with a $4 special of Traveller SMASH Ale with Honey today. No stein, not a problem – you may purchase a stein and join the club.
As you may know, all of our beer names are Myths, Legends, or Tails of the region of origin. Since this honey originates in the mountains of South West Virginia, our customers helped us find the local Legend of “Traveler”. Moreover, Traveler is the fourth in a series of SMASH Ales. The recipes are all the same, only the honey varietal changes creating a very different and distinctive beer with each iteration. You may remember Clurichaun Clover SMASH (VA clover honey), The Orange Ogre (FL orange blossom honey), and Purple Dragon (VA wildflower honey). Traveller SMASH Ale is made with Virginia Sour Wood Honey. We also have the sour wood mead honey wine pouring in the tasting room.
Specs:
Traveller SMASH Ale with Honey a Single Malt Single Hop (SMASH) Imperial Pale Ale with VA Sour Wood Honey. The aroma descriptors include distinct tropical, floral, lemon, grapefruit, and sour woody honey characteristics. (Served in a 13oz goblet. )
| 11.5% ABV | 34 IBU | 11 SRM | Style: SMASH Ale with Honey
The Legend of Traveller – During the Civil War, Traveller was General Lee’s famous horse. Lee and Traveller did everything together including riding him in many battles. Traveller was a gray, stood 16 hands, notable for speed, strength, and courage in combat. Traveller outlived Lee by only a few months due to complications of tetanus.
We can’t wait to see you!
Cheers!!!
